Second Chance Housing Interviews Brian Albers
The Greenville Homeless Alliance has created a Second Chance Housing program to help Greenville County citizens who have an eviction, bad credit or other barriers stopping them from being able to be in a stable home.
Six Elliott Davis interns are spending 240 hours this summer to help create the curriculum for the program. It will teach potential renters how to be good tenants.
To better understand the perspective of landlords, on Monday, June 18th, two of the interns interviewed our own Brian Albers. They asked questions like:
· What makes for a good tenant?
· How can applicants with mixed rental histories best qualify for new housing?
· How can the Greenville Homeless Alliance partner with local landlords?
Affordable Upstate agrees with the Greenville Homeless Alliance that developing these types of relationships is key to tackling local homeless challenges. We look forward to working with them closely in the future!
